Olly E’ is an alternative rock artist who creates outstanding music with a positive and hopeful theme for listeners to reflect on. His latest release, Heartline, in collaboration with RFJH Music is an action-packed song with a fiery passion and bright hooks. Olly E first started at 12, performing at a Battle of the Bands where he discovered his love for music. After joining BIMM Bristol and playing as a bassist for a short time on a cruise ship, he decided to become a solo act playing the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. During this time, Olly E released 2 EPs followed by multiple singles and music videos.

Heartline begins with a heavily distorted guitar riff and percussions that are metal-like. Shortly after, the rapid-fire vocals kick in during the verses, reminiscent of the same style used by bands such as Linkin Park and The Broken View. The lyrics are catchy and groovy, making it an enjoyable experience for listeners. The hook contrasts with the song’s darker tone and is played and sung in a lighter manner emphasizing the positive theme that Olly E is going for. This temporarily creates a brand-new soundscape with reflective and emotional lyrics compared to the punchy lyrics in the verses with an overall grittier tone.
