SickRichard – Nothing Is Easy

Hurtling Through Shadows – SickRichard’s Dark Ride with “Nothing Is Easy”

With “Nothing Is Easy,” SickRichard throws us headfirst into a visceral sonic storm, a moody, adrenaline-laced trip through dystopian alleys and inner chaos. It’s the sound of a restless engine running through the backstreets of your psyche, headlights flickering, and rain hitting the windshield in a syncopated rhythm of dread and defiance.

Built from the ground up during lockdown, this track doesn’t just wear its difficulties,  it weaponizes them. What started as a brooding synth idea evolved into a gritty, fully fleshed-out beast. Metallic guitars grind and twist with tribal-style drums, while synths sweep like fog across the skyline. There’s an eerie, cinematic quality here, like a lost scene from Blade Runner scored by a band that grew up on Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, and The Cure, but decided to make it even darker.

Vocals oscillate between ghostlike whispers and full-throttle cries, capturing that knife-edge feeling of panic versus control, fight versus flight. There’s no resting place in this song only forward motion, a relentless search for calm in a world cracking at the seams.

And yet, it’s strangely cathartic. You come out the other side with your pulse racing and your thoughts shaken. “Nothing Is Easy” is an emotional purge set to the soundtrack of the storm within.
