Frank Renfordt is an independent artist who goes under the name The Cumberland River Project. Hailing from Hagen in Germany, Frank started writing songs intuitively since ten years old. During his teenage years, he played the bass for a local rock band called RING. He mainly focused on his career and family for a few years, until eventually finding for music and songwriting again. His latest release, Liquor Store, is a testament to his signature Americana and storytelling style.

Having been influenced and inspired by trips to the USA, the artist eventually developed a soft spot for the Americana and country genres. This is also where he made contact with musicians and producers from Nashville. His latest release features soft-spoken catchy lyrics and a melodic acoustic guitar rhythm. The verses and hooks are sung as a storytelling method, allowing listeners to enjoy the quality of music and incredible narrative through different themes and imagery. Aside from the punchy bass lines and melodic guitar, many electric guitar licks play throughout the song complementing the overall sound. Liquor Store was written, produced, and sung by Frank and tells the story of a complicated relationship. The story of this relationship can be heard through the lyrics sung in a catchy, melodic, and fun way in true Americana style.
