Plasma Chasms is a band that brings you through a psychedelic journey throughout the great Beyond with its combination of flange and chorus effects and a complete transformation towards the end. Invitation to Dream Wizard (The Cosmic Elevator) is an awesome song with multiple distinct riffs and hooks that will make you rock while also being transported into the vast openness of space. Formed in 2020 by Jane Drewett from Australia and Adrian Guerrero from America, Plasma Chasms is a classic indie-pop meets garage rock meets psychedelic twist that makes each hit unique and feel like an adventure while listening.
Dream Wizard (The Cosmic Elevator Song) is the last track from their concept album called “Chrysalis” which is made up of 13 songs altogether. Each track takes you to different levels of psychedelia and is a journey through the cosmos as the space elevator brings you to various levels. In this song, the electric guitar starts with a mellow airy flange and kicks off towards a hard-rock distorted power chord riff that resembles even that of the great guitarist Jimi Hendrix.
Smooth basslines that match the guitar and synths traveling from left to right complete the “space” vibe in the song’s direction. Adrian and Jane also provide the vocals with lots of reverb and echo which complements the synths and spacey sounds which are in contrast to the rocking guitar in the background. Nearing the end of the music, the song completely transforms into catchy elevator music with chimes from vibraphones and a mellow bassline that is sure to catch your attention.
Despite its long track time of six minutes and thirty-five seconds, the song’s structure and smooth transitions to changing melody and beat make every second of this psychedelic song count.
Take a journey through space with Dream Wizard (The Cosmic Elevator Song) now!
