Broken Rhythms, Unfiltered Emotions

MUTE TV brings a wonderfully raw burst of energy with “Broken Drum,” a compelling single that finds beauty in musical chaos and honesty in complicated emotions. Released on October 2 through Medical Grade Music, the track makes an immediate impression with its edgy personality, restless momentum, and unapologetically rough-around-the-edges sound. It has the kind of intensity that grabs your attention without relying on unnecessary polish.

The guitars are particularly striking, cutting through the arrangement with jagged, distorted textures that give the song its distinctive character. Meanwhile, the bass and drums create a forceful rhythmic foundation, keeping everything moving with an almost unpredictable energy. The interplay between the instruments feels spontaneous and exciting, as though every musician is responding instinctively to the others. That natural chemistry gives the recording a genuine live-wire quality.

Beneath all that musical urgency, “Broken Drum” explores something deeply relatable: the complicated relationships we experience throughout life. Not every connection is straightforward, and even the ones that matter most can bring frustration, uncertainty and emotional struggle. MUTE TV translates these feelings into a sound that feels appropriately restless, balancing tension with memorable melodic moments.

What makes this release especially enjoyable is its refusal to smooth away the rough edges. The imperfections, noisy guitar work, and driving performance all contribute to its identity. “Broken Drum” is an exciting alternative rock release that showcases MUTE TV’s ability to turn everyday emotional complications into something powerful, energetic, and thoroughly engaging.
